Who is Alpine Flower Counseling?
I'm happy you're here!Hello! My name is Emily Lenehan PCLC, the owner of Alpine Flower Counseling.
-
I provide in-person for individuals ages 12+ in Billings, Montana. I also use Telehealth to see individuals that are located anywhere in Montana!
-
All of my work is done through a trauma-informed lens. These are therapy modalities and theories that more specifically guide my work:
Expressive art therapy
Solution-focused brief therapy
Mindfulness and grounding techniques
Motivational interviewing
Family systems theory
Feminist theory
*I am currently training in EDMR, and will be finished July 30th!*
-
I completed my Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling earlier this spring. During school, I completed over 700 hours of counseling related work and individual counseling with clients.
I have over 5 years of experience offering support to teens and young adults while they navigating various life challenges.
-
At our first few appointments, we will collaborate to create a personalized therapy plan to guide our work.
During sessions, you can work to deepen your relationship with yourself, work to decrease negative mental health symptoms, and learn new techniques to help you navigate your world.
Therapy will be uncomfortable at times as you gain new insight, but I will do my best to follow your pace as we navigate our work together.
Where does the business’ name come from?
Alpine Flower Counseling’s name is inspired by the resilience of flowers that grow in high elevation and amidst harsh conditions. I am honored to help individuals continue to build resilience while navigating whatever life throws their way.
Life is harsh, but I believe that holding space for the grief of injustice and using different therapy techniques can help you incorporate your lived experiences into a narrative that feels right for you.
